Rope halters
The broken wash rack post thing has happened with other halters too! I
am amazed that anyone would "hard tie" a horse to anything, much double
tie! When we had wash racks (in the olden days) we had quick release
snaps at both ends of the wash rack ropes, that is, one at each post and
one at the halter end of each rope. Even so, wrecks can happen so
quickly on a wash rack that we stopped tying horses in them. I suspect
part of the panic that grips a horse when in them is the very fact that
they are "trapped" with no release available. Lif
