Re: Re: Re: ridecamp-d Digest V99 #1370

I've had my barn cat 'RAT' for over ten years. She's been strictly outdoors
on our farm. We've probably invested in no more than 20 pounds of catfood
in those ten years. We had no problem with mice or rats on our farm, or
moles for that matter. I once saw her jump 4 feet in the air and catch a
giant green dragonfly for a mid day snack. She's always been perfectly
healthy and has never had fleas, ticks, etc.
We sold our farm and moved to 5 acres in Colorado and moved her inside
because of the harsh winters in the mountains and six months later found
out she had cancer. I'm glad she had her ten years in the outdoors doing
what she did naturally.
   Keep a cat indoors... Nah!!
