Actually, the boy cats at our place often got to have body parts removed
by the vet on our kitchen table. I guess if you can do it to a horse in
the field, you can do it to a cat in the kitchen. (Our male dogs,
too). One time a vet told us that one of her instructors at Davis said
that they used to stick cats face down in rubber boots and then do the
deed. Yuck. Vet clinic or kitchen table, let's here it for anesthesia!
I do agree that vehicles and cats do not mix. We have been fortunate to
also live away from roads. If I was in a more populated area and had
neighbors that were into shooting cats, however, I would be as concerned
as the original poster indicated she was. People who feel free to use
guns for unnecessary reasons - no matter what those reasons are - always
make me uncomfortable. Lif
