Now he will be okay, except for a gapping wound I clean religiously (he
cringes when he sees me coming now), but he will never be the same. I
started asking around, and come to find out there are people in my
neighborhood that shoot cats for entertaninment. I just bought this house
last year, and had no idea that in a fairly upscale neighborhood people
would be running around harming animals for entertainment. We have the
beach just minutes away, but I guess the entertainment value around here
is lacking. >>
I know this isn't ridecamp related but..if your cat was is so precious to
you, why are you allowing him to roam outside? The average lifespan of a cat
that's allowed to roam the neighborhood is two years. While they're out
there, they're not just washing their paws and climbing trees....they
defecating in your neighbor's garden and flower beds, killing song birds, and
probably breeding new litters of kittens, something we don't need. Owning an
animal of any sort entails responsibility for that animal's natural actions.
You are, ultimately, responsible for your cat's wounds...if he hadn't been
wandering outside, he wouldn't have gotten shot.
If you truly love your cat ALWAYS KEEP HIM INDOORS.
OK, flame away...got my asbestos on!!!!
