Re: Those new fang-dangled halter/bridles with no hardware

Nor can I. I've used these on trail and when playing in the arena. It seems
to me that if it is placed on the horse correctly, there is no way it can
pull over the horse's head. The rein can be attached to the loop hanging
just under the chin and in this instance it would be close to if not
impossible to be pulled over the ears. If it is attached to the sides, if
pulled back, the jaw would stop the movement of the halter. Just can't
picture it. When I first started to read the post, I anticipated that the
warning was that the horse, because it had no bit in the mouth could bolt or
run without much to control it. when I use the halter only on trail, I use
it only with a horse that I have worked with and know and who knows and
respects my requests. I still would not use it alone at the beginning of a
race, for instance. I've got better sense than that. After the 25 mile lunch
break, I would without hesitation use it alone.
