Re: Re extra help on trail
It is very interesting how the regions differ! Yes, we take our own water
to vet checks though sometimes we get lucky and a vet check is by a stream.
My husband has his little system down with the buckets and the barrel,
etc. Part of our strategy with that is that Jonathan has been known to be
finicky about drinking and we hope sometimes that water from home may be
more appealing...and I do think that helped in the beginning. He is less
and less finicky, thank God. But it is so handy to have the water right
there with us!! As for those water puddles, Jonathan has started drinking
from those this season, too, but I saw some wigglies in one that really
made me ill. I know what tadpoles look like but these were long and
skinny...reminded me of worms! You really think they'll strain them out,
huh? Ugh, ick, yuck! :) It really doesn't bother me all that much about
shared troughs etc. but I can see the need for precaution when we are able
to!
