Of course, crewing is allowed, even at LD rides.  You shouldn't be
embarrassed if water or anything else is offered to you.  My husband,
though crewing for me, will always offer another water bucket to other
riders.  Or any other assistance you may need.  That's what we enjoy about
this sport.  Crewing is NOT allowed on CTR though.
