Yeah, what Julie said.  I's the riding, not the records.  It's the great
people you get to ride (and suffer and moan & groan and cheer) with, not
to mention the great horses you get to experience - your own & your
fellow competitors'.  You don't get to do that all on organized trail
rides, or anywhere else.  The longer the ride, the more of it - not just
quantity, but quality.  Just another whacko opinion.  Lif
