Sue, no one in AERC classifies riders--just distances. As I said earlier--I
think we are ALL endurance riders--just that some don't choose to do
endurance rides. I don't know of ANYWHERE that those who choose to ride LD's
are treated like 2nd class citizens--maybe someone, somewhere, but sure not
the norm. This really isn't ANY different than dressage, other than hosting
the LD and the endurance rides at the same venue. As tough as it is to
support a ride, this is done for logical financial and logistic reasons.
As Julie Suhr said, worrying so much about getting "credit" is really missing
the whole point anyway.
