No flames here Sylvia. I was thinking the same thing as I was reading
Howard's story. You tell a good tale Howard, but the vet is not the
enemy. They are experienced in seeing lameness and it is their
responsibility to get the horses through a ride safely and able to ride
another day. Doing the ride and not getting a completion at the finish
is very sobering, but no one learns anything if everyone gets a
completion no matter what the condition of the horse.
Fit to continue is still the criteria, not "done for today so what
does it matter".
