saddle fit
HI, I too would like to find a saddle to fit my narrow high withered,
half-saddlebred gelding. I've tried three different models orthoflex with
three different panel systems plus two sport saddles and they all slip back.
The endurance sport saddle I can cinch it up tight enough so it doesn't slip
back but that just makes his withers sore. I just put up with it and he
does get some scruffy skin from the tight breast collar. The OF Partriot
at least has short enough panels that when it does slip back it doesn't make
him sore over the loins. If he were the only horse I rode I would try to
get a custom made saddle for him but have another horse I'm riding so like
the OF saddle as it will work for both. Happy Trails, Kathy from Arkansas
Fox,"Just let me run on flat trails and the saddle will stay in place".
Dually, "Saddles slip forward on me but I don't mind a crupper"
