Riding in the dark!
Well, I personally don't mind riding in the dark. Of course
I have alot of clear cuts behind my house, with well
travelled logging roads, so it isn't really "pitch" black.
Until I get to my trail-head, then its kind of fun to just
trust your horse to get you home safe and sound. They know
that trail sooooo well, I just put an arm up to ward of any
stray branches and make sure they go slow. I also like the
bats flying around overhead, hearing the coyotes yipping.
If it wasn't for my "Mr. Safety" boyfriend (who panics the
minute the sun goes down and my horse isn't in the barn) I
would ride more and later too. And since I am not a morning
person, evening is my choice for a time to ride.
