Hi Michelle -
Interesting question. I've never heard much
discussion of panel length but I do know that most saddles not made specifically
for arabs are too long. The back of the panels certainly should not
hit the top of the horse's croup. Custom saddlemakers adjust the
length to fit the horses but I don't think there is any choice of length
in readymade saddles.
