I can relate!  When we moved to our current place we brought Kahlil
home in the spring, and then had a late spring snowstorm -- cold, high
winds, and NO shelter in the pasture (we hadn't built the barn yet).
So Kahlil spent the night in the (attached) garage.  He wasn't a happy
camper in there, but at least he was out of the weather.

Our experience wasn't nearly as funny, though.
