MALE COMFORT
Bob,
I find that good fitting jockey shorts are "almost" adequate.
I do prefer stretch tights over them.
I have not yet found an athletic supporter comfortable for
long rides.
I started riding two years ago at age 66, and found that the
main things for comfort were to get a good saddle, wear
stirrups as long as possible and cross train the horse for
driving to strengthen his rear and teach him to use it. This
smoothed the trot considerably, and of course I learned to
post. I much prefer to ride English.
After several hundred miles the "jewels" get numb and this
also helps. In an earlier thread a woman in San Diego suggested
gelding (we wondered about her)! Another woman suggested
Viagra to get everything up out of the way.
Hope this helps! LOL
