Hi Alison -- you have raised some good points. I ride NATRC as well as
endurance and really feel that NATRC has helped me to learn at a slower pace
before going on to 50s and longer stuff. I know we don't need more rules,
but some people could really benefit from learning at a CTR before they try
endurance (not everybody, just some people). Barring that, some type of
educational interlude for newbies would be nice at an endurance ride. That
brings up the mentoring thing too which is also a good idea. My asbestos
suit is worn out, so hopefully I won't get flamed for this :)
