i'm not necessarily promoting KK as after 3 emails to the main office but
their article makes for interesting reading.  

one phone message left on main office machine i have not received ANYTHING
in return.  we had horses marked 5 years ago and i have one back after
being gone for 2 years, can not find his i.d. from KK and would like to
have that which is why i've been trying to get some response from them.  i
get the 'your call can not be completed as dialed' for the phone number for
the tech in So.Cal.  duh.  great way to do business.

personally i'd prefer to freeze mark or brand because it's 'visible', not
everyone has a reader for the chips.
