I started endurance riding on the hottest horse I've ever ridden - a 
registered (racing type) QH.  He wasn't much good at endurance ... too hot, 
long weak back, and various other shortcomings.  I bought him 'way back when 
I was blinded by flashy beauty and not wise enough to analyze conformation or 
disposition.
