This is my personal preference (although I admit I've never done CTR). It's
really easy to just leave 10 minutes or more after everyone else. Then it's
pretty much just like a trail ride at home except with the excitement of a
ridecamp and other horses around.
This will be my plan for my young stallion's first ride.
