We've been checking on the storm every couple of hours (have to use the
internet, no TV reception here & we don't have/want a satellite dish)
and seems like Amber's right on the edge of the area referred to as
tropical force winds. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find out if
a tropical force wind storm is = to any of the hurricane categories, so
what does that mean in terms of wind? Anyone able to direct me to a
site I can find this out, or anyone know? Anyone hear anything about
the status of critters & folks on the Florida coast yet? Thank goodness
that the storm veered north and away from that part of the coast. Now
I'm worrying about friends in the Carolinas! There's no end (and
hurricane season's barely in full swing!) Lif
