horseshoes.com has a lot on information on laminitis and has resident vets and horseshoers that will answer any questions you might have. This particular mare belongs to a friend of mine. She is a very overweight quarter horse and has had numerous colic episodes also. I believe she keeps having a reaction to alfalfa but have trouble convincing the owner of this. I think she has taken the horse off now but I'm not sure. Feet get very cold, then a pounding digital pulse and heat appear. Karen
