"Nope, Drin is right.  In "modern times" we often see fit front-running
50's 
do the first 25 in a time comparable (or sometimes faster) than what the
25's 
"win" it in.  In "olden times" when 25's were sanctioned for full points,
we 
saw flat-out sprints on the 25's, and then lined 'em up for IV's.  I can 
remember John "
I just happened to be lucky enough to have a horse tougher than nails to
withstand me until I learned how to do endurance the right way ! And I am
proud of him top tenning the 25's and 50's because he damn well deserves
the recognition for them .But he also never had to be treated after a ride
and was still sound with great legs until the day he died .
