Muscat Breeding
AFter my note on our Muscat gelding I was asked:
>What is a Muscat? I have never heard of that. Where do I learn more?

Muscat was considered a superior Russian Arabian sire. The following
website has an article written about him:
www.awhitehorse.com/russians/
I bought Baby Tzar from Symmetry Arabians in Lehi, Utah. I had been looking
at desertbred arabians almost exclusively up to that time. I had read
everything I could find on Crabbet, Maynesboro, Davenport Importations and
the Kellog operation. Then I saw Tzar and bought him and wondered all the
way home why I had bought a horse that was really "show" breeding that I
knew nothing about. He just has such personality that you are hooked.
I asked Ridecampers if anyone else had Muscat Breeding and discovered that
several did and were very pleased with them. That information should be in
archives.
