Thanks a lot for the Abetta help.

I want to thank everyone that responded to me and to ridecamp about the Abetta
Endurance saddle.  Looks like I'll take the plunge and get one.  The
semi-quarter horse bars seem to fit my Russian gelding with just a little
growing room (fit using coat hangers at the tack shop).
Right now I'm conditioning and training him with an old Thoroughgood cutback
saddle that is too small for me (sometimes a painful reminder).  I will take all
your suggestions and comments to heart.
