Fantastic story, Barb!!!  I enjoyed every line! I'm so glad to got to enjoy this
with Whisper.

Lynne tried to talk me into bringing Shatirr down for this, and I wimped out at
the last minute... I really regret it! He would have been in heaven.

Shatirr never was a real endurance horse... he acted like a stallion for the
first 5 miles, showed off in camp, but the miles? Not his idea of fun! Aside
from being metabolically challenged, he preferred to kick back at the trailer
and beg treats and scratches off of spectators "Hey Lady, wanna pet a pony?" He
gets a sweet perky look, nods subtly, and usually gets just the scratch he
wants.

He would have been a leaping snorting fool at the start, but sounds like he
would have had good company.

Okay, Lynne, you were right! Next year!
