Yes, it was a ride with qualifications to enter, but it was not only
an AERC sanctioned ride, it was our Championship event.  Everyone had
an equal chance to qualify, and anyone who did not qualify had plenty
of other rides available to accumulate points.

I don't think the people who choose to participate in our Championship
events should be penalized by not receiving points in our other
programs, nor do I believe it's wise to actually discourage people
from participating by doing so.

I recommend that the Championship rides have full points next year,
and that every reasonable effort be made to avoid scheduling conflicts
with FEI and other premier events.
