RE: AERC National Championship??

Steve - I think the AERC NC will work eventually.
This year most of the 100 mile horses were competing 
in Canada 10 days before the championship. We need
better promotion too - but I think it's the right
idea... better than the series format that we tried
for the past 7 years.

I have a question - the competitions committee decided
not to award AERC points for the championship ride,
mileage only, similar to FEI and the old ROC rides.
Do you think this makes a difference? I know of several
100 miler competitors that did not do the NC because
they wouldn't receive points for year end awards.
Your thoughts?

Twelve horses doesn't make much of a competitive championship race does it.
What are we missing in addition to entries?
