underground Mules (mine shafts)
yes its true just visited the Empire Mine in Grass Valley Ca. and was
amazed to find the history of the mine workers were working Gold Mules.
These mules would pull the ore carts a total of 7 no more at times of full
gold bearing ore. They lived deep down in the mine shafts. Most lived up
to 30 years of age underground, only to come up to see real light if they
were sick, which they say wasnt to often. Also had great care,i dont know
about how good, but was valued more than a miner since the miner was easier
to replace than the mule. Is this Frank Smiths Deep Secret?
