You're right - it is only temporary - but the saddle I'm actively using
doesn't fit badly-yet- just not ideally, and like I said it's due for an
awling so the problem doesn't progress to where it will become a major
issue. It doesn't sore the horse and has been recently used with success on
a 50. It's a year old with regular, somewhat heavy use and about the time
most aussie's need awling. I'm considering making a move to a
western-type-minus-horn synthetic endurance saddle but haven't made any
final decisions.
