It would appear that, according to the AERC, anything that would be of
benefit to the animal during competition, other than electrolytes, water, hay
and a source of carbohydrates, is a "drug" and is illegal. Indeed, any of the
above fed in non-physiological doses would be illegal as well.
If this is not so, I'd like to hear otherwise.
