Re: genes from dam
I believe that a male inherits a tad more genetic material comes from the
dam. The Y chromosome is an X without one of the legs, which contains
genetic material. Both males and females inherit an X chromsome from their
dam, but males receive a Y from their sire. Thus, the majority of genetic
material comes from their dam.
