Not true anymore, the new series comes with an gullet that is adjustable by
buying an new gullet piece the saddle is made in such a way that a new
gullet piece can be installed (Narrow, regular, or wide) without
unstitching. The manufacturer claims that the 500 series saddles with the
Easy Gullet Systems allow you to alter the width the the gullet to achieve
the most comfortable fit for the horse's wither and shoulder.
I have no idea if the new saddle live up to the claim, but I sounded great!
