The drug is an anestetic called Xylocaine. It can be with epinpherene or
without.
If it has "epi" with it the effects can be quite noticable. This is a
drug that is given
to cardiac (heart ) patients and can cause the heart to beat faster and
thus will cause(in
humans) the body to be irritable and shakey. So I would expect the horse
to feel the same.
Your touch would be like a very irritating fly to your horse. Thank
goodness the assistant was
not hurt seriously. I think the walking suggestions from the others
riders is wonderful advise !
