Was this directed at me? I don't know because I've missed some e-mails, but
I'll answer it anyway. It's not only them pointing something out. It's
also a case of them missing something. I just feel more comfortable having
a vet look at my horse because I have no way of knowing how experienced
"experienced" means.
If I know the rider and know their background and experiences and I trust
them, I'd be more likely to go through their "line," but if you open up vet
checks to experienced riders, there might be a problem of control. At least
with a vet, they have to have a degree, right?
Besides, if my horse goes into a vet check....he should get checked by a
vet. And if there is only one vet and 2 or 3 "experienced" riders checking
horses? I'd stand in line for the vet.
