My horses kicked it around once or twice and then ignored it. So I gave it to
my boss, who's got two geldings, both below the age of four. THey played with
it until it fell apart. SO, at least in my opinion, if you want your horses
to play with toys, they have to be exposed to them as "kids". Many animals,
not just horses, don't adapt to new things or concepts as adults, whereas the
young ones aren't so "set in their ways" and are more willing to try new
things.

By the way, after the bosses' geldings destroyed their horse ball, he went
and bought two boat bumpers. I don't know if they were cheaper, but they're
apparently absolutely indestructible. His geldings regularly stomp, kick,
bite and almost sit on the things and haven't torn them up yet.

Michelle and Jordan (what's this for, mom?) and Dale, my husband, who says,
"Wow, a boat bumper...now we need a boat to go along with it!!!"
