removing numbers from horse

You do get some crazy comments if you leave the numbers on.  I went on a ride 
with the local club the weekend after the Florida Endurance Classic.  As I 
was tacking up I overheard a woman comment to another rider, "Look, that 
woman has so many horses she has to number them." :~)
