saddle, think it would have cost about $150 to send it back to Sport Saddle
Inc. So I opted to just order a new one........they USED to make a
WONDERFUL stirrup option called a slide-bar.. You could slide the stirrups
leathers along the bar and have many positions. I liked it, but they
discontuined it. Seemd it would be real easy to have something like a
slide bar-but with pegs for the leather to catch into; to hold it in
different positions.
After discussing this with Karen Chaton, I've made plans to have a good
local saddle fitter/repair guy alter the stirrup placement on my SS. He's
examined the saddle, and will follow Karen's advice that he consult with
the manufacturer before going ahead. Karen said that it's a bit tricky to
make the alteration and not screw up the saddle's weight distribution.
