That's where the knot eliminators come in handy -- you can stick 'em
anywhere along the length of rope and the horse's tie comes to a halt
there, preventing him from going any farther. You can thus keep him in
the middle of the rope and off each end, which may be a tree or truck or
trailer or hitching post at the campground or whatever else is available.
You can also use them to put more than one horse on a single line and keep
them separated so they can't fight or get tangled in one another's lines.
They're wonderful things to have. Everyone should have a small
collection, like I do. <BG>
