We have something similar around here (California) for the vineyards. What
is really amazing is that the horses do actually get used to the things and
you would think after THAT they would literally be bomb proof. Nuh-uh! They
still go wacky over the usual horse phobias (white rocks included). My horse
dumped me a couple of years ago (on pavement, of course) when three little
kittens darted out from some shadows and underneath him. Next thing I knew,
I was sitting on my butt watching him trot off after the rest of the riders
(during a competition OF COURSE). Luckily, he came back and we finished the
ride -- but how embarassing!
