Hey Jerry,
Does this mean that you will be back next year at the OD to challenge me to the OD 100 First to Finish Heavyweight Challenge?
The first time around the OD course is the toughest and Jerry and Irene looked real good. You can really tell how they did by how well the rider moves the next day and Jerry was walking pretty good.
Hats off to Duane Barnett, DVM. I like vets who ride, especially the ones who do not know how to quit. Good job Duane!
The big ugly males manning The Heavy Hitters/Team Tons of Fun Finished their three of four team members and poor Claude Brewer got pulled at Liberty Hall (95 miles). Better luck next year Claude. Oh and Duane was an honorary heavyweight. I do not want people thinking big thoughts of him. You heman males stop watching your wives and girlfriends ride and get yourselves on a horse. You CAN compete with those little guys and gals. You can at least have fun trying.
Now for the rest of you. Next year, stop living through these other adventure riders and get your rear ends to the OD. You do not need a horse to come out and have a good time. The OD can find all sorts of fun stuff to do on ride day. Great organizations like this do not operate on their own. So come out and help support the ride.
I will now remove my self back to periodic lurking.
