Re: conditioning human body for endurance

Also Yoga and Pilates are excellent conditioners for riding. I used to do
intensive Yoga before I went snow skiing. I find it and Pilates work great
for riding too. Both disciplines work a lot on balance and centering of
breathing and body position. The breathing also relaxes me , sometimes
through pain on 100s, and helps me feel in sync with my horse. I am 50 and
just started endurance last year. I love it and aspire to be like my idol,
Bobbie Barber. What a gal! Vicki and Smokey Bear
