Old Dominion 50 without a crew?

Both of my friends who were planning to go to the OD with me have backed
out. Mary Anne's horse tied up at the NJ 100 (she was then going to come
along to help anyway but now has had a family crisis) and Katie's horse
quit on her after 10 miles on the second day (Also extremely hot, but not
humid). As you probably have heard, 38 horses started and only 15 completed
the NJ 100 this year-first really hot weekend we'd had all year. Fling did
really well metabolically, especially on the second day once I was no
longer worrying about my friends and able to concentrate on her. We were
pulled for a minor lameness (stone bruise? muscle pull?-check ligament
strain from all that sand?) on the morning of the third day. She's fine now
and sporting her new bright yellow shoe pads and bites (from her
not-so-loving dam who has just rejoined the herd) all over her rump
(luckily none in the saddle area). 

 So I will be going "cavalry" on the 50, which I don't believe is an award
category in the 50. I haven't been to the OD in about 10 years and don't
remember if there is water at all of the stops (I seem to remember there
was). I'll be going VERY slowly (just to complete, hopefully) so might be
able to send stuff out (buckets, hay, etc) with someone's crew who could
just dump it for me at the stops...but then how do I get it back? 
	Any who-I'll be arriving Thursday-Plan to track down Linda and Patti (with
a $5.00 bill in my hand!). 
I'll be living in my truck when not fussing with Fling-grey Ford 150 with a
cap and old white Bonanza two horse stock trailer. No bandana-sorry!
