Re: RC: Helmets
Becky,
I know how that goes. I'm in an Ohio Horseman's Council group, and I think there
are only one or 2 people besides the friend I board with and me who wear
helmets. After seeing a friend come back from a ride with his helmet in 7 pieces
and him with not so much as a headache, I would have been a believer had I not
been already. Another friend of mine was riding and was hit by a dump truck.
The horse, unfortunately, had to be put down, but she's alive because of her
helmet. I've always worn one while competing, but now even when training at
home. I trust my horse, but weird things can happen and I also have to ride down
the road and don't trust the drivers!
