Words of wisdom Karen.  IMO Don"t go on a ride until you have sufficient 
control over your horse and to be able to pace properly. Believe me I learnt 
the hard way. Respect your horse, they are truly amazing animals and some 
will give you all they have it's up to the human with the bigger brain? to 
set the rules. And vet bills are expensive!
