Lovell--
This is what my vet said also, and we have a very good(2nd only to Davis
Vet Facility) up here now.  The old vaccine (I think) was live virus,
and this one is either" modified" or killed----(not sure which) but I
had a foal born late and the vets strongly recommended it.  (Older
horses. they said. .had more immunity built up so we could take our
chances.)  The filly had NO reaction at all, and it made me feel lots
better. ( I have had an older horse with strangles, and it is NOT
pretty!!  Goes on MUCH too long!)
