helmet for big ears

Don't laugh but...
Does anyone know of a helmet that will work for my husband who has big
ears?  He has tried the Troxels and Lexingtons but they don't fit.  Know
of any other brands that might fit?  I can't get him to wear a helmet
because he says it hurts his ears... just wait til his wild mule throws
him into a tree.  His ears won't hurt as much then.
