Found two embedded ticks on myself last year, and had to go on antibiotics.
Ticks (and other insects) love me and my horse, so the vaccination is a
no-brainer for me. Just got my first injection today; second will be in
four weeks and the third to come ten months later. It's costing me $80 for
each injection, though perhaps my insurance carrier will turn out to be
enlightened enough to reimburse me for part of that (I'm not holding my
breath).
