Yes, but dichlorvos has also been used as an equine anthelmintic. Granted,
it has been largely replaced by more effective products with a higher
margin of safety, but let's not get overly frightened of the stuff.

As does the average bottle of fly spray these days.
The collars marketed expressly for tick protection contain amitraz, which,
used topically on horses (as a "dip") has been fatal. They are more
sensitive to it than dogs.
