Rider is light and balanced, light contact with the horse's mouth, etc. Neither the horse or the rider should be too hesitant (gawking definitely a no-no). Big points off if your horse shys. Extra points if your horse will take a carrott from the obstacle (being careful, of course, not to mistakenly take anything else--if 911 has to be called you're docked the number of points the worst team received plus one).
