How do you stop your horse from charging out the back of the trailer ?

I have an Arabian who charges out the back of the trailer.

When I go to let him out of the trailer he immdiatley charges out. This is very dangerous and I need some way of preventing him from charging out. I have tryed tapping a lead rope on his rear when he gets out of the trailer but that doesn't slow him down. HELP!!!
